Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Raymond C. Rembish, Jr. Joins TechTeam Global’s Government Services Subsidiary, Digital Support Corporation
Rembish brings global information technology expertise with Army to Digital Support Corporation to grow its San Antonio, Texas officeSOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN, October 5, 2005…TechTeam Global, Inc., (Nasdaq: TEAM), a worldwide provider of information technology (IT) and business process outsourcing support services, today announced that Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Raymond C. Rembish, Jr. has joined TechTeam's government services subsidiary, Digital Support Corporation (DSC), as Business Development Manager. Rembish retired from the U.S. Army in June 2005 following 25 years of distinguished service. He is located in the San Antonio, Texas office of DSC, where he will work to expand contracts with the U.S. Army bases located in that region.
Rembish brings a wealth of global experience in IT to DSC. He served in Germany in communications, electronics, and operations. During Operation Desert Storm, Rembish provided communications support to large-scale coalition combat operations conducted in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq. Rembish served as Battalion Executive Officer for the 56th Signal Battalion and Chief of the Humanitarian Assistance and Training Division, in the G-3 Operations Directorate, of U.S. Army South, at Fort Clayton, Panama. Other posts include the J-6 Communications Director for the U.S. Special Operations Command Central (Airborne) and later as the Chief of the Communications Support Branch, in the J-6 Directorate, of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
From 2000-2005, Rembish served as the Deputy Director of the G-6 Directorate, which is responsible for command and control, communications, computers, and information systems, for U.S. Army South, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. Later, he was relocated to Fort Sam Houston, where he led a staff of 50 personnel in facilitating strategic, tactical, and base-level communications and IT for the Army, interagency, and multinational operations that were planned or implemented for 30 nations located in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. In this assignment, he was also responsible for orchestrating relocation of U.S. Army South's sophisticated communications architecture as the command was moved from Puerto Rico to Texas as a part of the Army's overall transformation program.
“The Department of the Army is undergoing a huge transformation that will revamp its organizational structure as well as enable it to leverage technology more effectively, and I look forward to working with it closely in my new role at Digital Support Corporation,” says Mr. Rembish. “Military commanders have the same challenges as leaders in corporate America – to obtain the right technology for the right situation, and to get it in an efficient and cost-effective manner so that it provides added value to their organization.”
“With the relocation of U.S. Army South to San Antonio, we are eager to grow our presence here,” says Pete Brigham, President, Digital Support Corporation. “We are excited that Ray has joined DSC, and believe his expertise will help us expand upon our working relationships with both the Department of Defense as well as the growing commercial companies in the area.”
