TechTeam Wins Task Order Under USA Contact to Provide Services for the Office of Personnel Management
CHANTILLY, Va., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TechTeam Government Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of TechTeam Global, Inc. (Nasdaq: TEAM), a provider of information technology (IT) services to government and Fortune 1000 customers, announced today that it has been awarded a task order under the General Services Administration (GSA) USA Contact program.
The task order is with the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Retirement Information Office (RIO). TechTeam will provide overflow call center support to OPM's 2.4 million federal retirees and their survivors. This call center is expected to receive an average of 30,000 calls per month. These calls require Customer Service Specialists to be well versed in a number of annuitant issues and respond to critical inquires concerning retirement, health and insurance benefits. They also provide emergency support to federal retirees impacted by disasters such as Hurricanes Katrina and Ike, and the California wildfires.
The task order consists of one base year plus four option years.
